ABC Class Attire
It is important for students to come to class in the appropriate dance attire. Outlined below you will find the required attire and shoes for each class. ALL students must wear their hair up off of their neck and face. Some classes will require that students wear their hair in a bun, and others a braid or ponytail would be fine. Please make sure you/your child come into class with the required attire.
Creative Movement
Any clothing that will stretch and move with them. A leotard and tights is fine, but not required. Ballet shoes or CLEAN sneakers can be worn.
Pre-Dance
A solid color leotard and tights, a pull on dance skirt is acceptable, hair in a bun, braid, or ponytail. Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes, black patent leather tap shoes. Hop & Tumble should wear convertible tights or footless/stirrup tights and have thin socks to put on for hip-hop.
Ballet and Pointe
Solid color leotard, ballet pink convertible tights, ballet skirt, Bloch Zenith pink split sole stretch canvas ballet shoes. (and pointe shoes) Hair must be worn in a bun.
Tap
Solid color leotard and full foot or convertible tights, dance shorts, or dark, solid color leggings, beg/adv.beg. needs tan buckle tap shoes, levels Int. and Pre/Adv. need black tie jazz/tap shoes w/teletone taps unless they are Ofer & Ben or Jason Samuels Smith shoes.
Acro
Solid color leotard and footless or convertible tights, dance shorts, or dark, solid color leggings, leather split sole acrobatic/gymnastic shoes.
Jazz
Solid color leotard and convertible tights, dance shorts, or dark, solid color leggings, all levels need tan Bloch Phantom jazz boots.
Modern
Modern- Solid color leotard and footless or convertible tights, dance shorts, or dark, solid color leggings. You will go barefoot for modern classes.
Musical Theatre
Solid color leotard and convertible tights, dance shorts, or dark, solid color leggings. All levels will need black Bloch Phantom jazz boots. May also be asked to have tan character shoes.
Lyrical
Solid color leotard and convertible tights, dance shorts, or dark, solid color leggings. All levels need tan Capezio Pirouette II canvas lyrical shoes.
Hip-Hop
Solid color leotard under shorts or sweatpants, etc. Can wear fun clothing that you can move in, but must wear a bodysuit underneath. You may wear CLEAN sneakers, work boots, combat boots of your liking for class. Once costumes have been chosen, you must purchase whatever shoes we decide on for the dance.
Conditioning Technique & Floorwork
Solid color leotard and convertible tights, and/or dance shorts. You will need lyrical or jazz shoes. Hair must be in a bun.
Boys
Solid color tight fitting t-shirt (no graphics please), and black jazz pants, sweat pants, or shorts. Ballet - black ballet shoes, Tap - black jazz/tap shoes, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance - black tie jazz shoes. Other classes - same as listed above.
All
ALL girls need to have a black leotard, black dance shorts, and tan convertible tights w/out any runs in them. We will use these for workshops and community performances. ALL boys need to have black jazz pants and black fitted t-shirts.
